A "girl" cake!

Sunday we celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday!  She is an easy going kid, but her one request was that she wanted "a girl cake"
so, this is what I came up with...er, I mean copied from someone else who came up with this and then was kind enough to post it on the internet.  :)

It's not perfect, but it turned out cute...and just an fyi if you attempt to make a cake even close to this...DO NOT use a box mix...they just aren't heavy enough to hold the weight (on their side)  I made my no egg shocolate cake for this one.

you will need:
2 8 in rounds
2 containers frosting (I used cream cheese, cause that's the best)
1 large tootsie roll
4 large marshmallows
whoppers
m&m's
and green fruit leather.

It really was easy to make...once I had a good cake to use...and I did stick several toothpicks through...just for added support!

So cute. Love the marshmellow flowers and tootsie roll handle. I hope she had a great b-day. Did you guys ever sell your house or find a new place to live?

That is the funniest thing, because we found this cake online and Makayla asked for it for her birthday! It turned out WAY cute!

ADORABLE! Thank goodness my girl is old enough to choose a cheesecake from Costco over anything homemade - mine would NEVER turn out this cute ;)
